Lent Dawn
This year Lent seemed more poignant than usual with war raging and a politically tumultuous landscape making for much anxiety. I was privileged to be able to take time, to get up early, and go into the studio where I can both pray and make work, meditating on the glimpses of garden or morning just seen. I saw the shift of lightening dawns and growing foliage which was how this image came about - hopefully infused with light of an early spring morning.
