I’ve always liked those hands (of God) that appear out of the sky in Medieval illustrations of biblical scenes offering blessings to the favoured ones in the depictions. I’m just playing around with that motif here where the hand of Jesus, through whom all things are made, rises from a parched and needy garden and touches a cloud, prompting it to release its replenishing and sustaining waters to the Earth.

For He makes His sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and the unjust
